Cylinder blast killed 3 - people including 2 children and a woman

Chiranjeevee pokhrel for DCnepal, Feb 08, 2016 - Gas cylinder became bomb at home. The explosion caused loud uproarious sound wave and killed three members of the same family. Three people died in the blast of LP gas cylinder. The cylinder blast vibrated the locality and killed three people including two children. Out of the deceased, one was identified as woman and the rest two were children. The blast of cylinder occurred due to the fire, which was caused due to electric short-circuit.


In fact, the residential structure had a shop in front room. In an electric short-circuit, mattresses caught faire due to the sparks from the same short-circuit. Right after the fire started Due to the extreme heat and the open fire, the cylinder blasted.


A video has been viral showing the incident. There in the video, it is clearly seen that the fire starts spreading in the house. With the information, the fire extinguisher also reaches at the right time; however, a cylinder blasts and there would be no chance for the trapped people to escape. Instead, the three members of the family were ablaze with the multi-dimensional fire eruption due to the cylinder blast which was set on the first floor, the floor between ground floor and the second floor. The incident had occurred at Anand Ghar locality in Vikhroli (West) on Saturday. The owner and the main family member Mr. Salim Belim (38) had escaped unhurt after the shop’s mattresses caught the spark.
